We know that your new flooring is a big investment and we’re passionate about making sure you get the best possible result. The fitting of flooring is best left to experienced, professional flooring fitters. If you would like to fit yourself or find your own flooring fitter that’s no problem, just let us know when you or your chosen fitter will be collecting your goods from our store or warehouse. Please give us at least 72 hours notice as we will often need to cut your carpets off a roll etc.
If you would like, we can arrange for professional flooring fitters to install your new carpet or flooring, these professionals have been trained to the highest standards, with lots of experience in carpet, laminate and vinyl installation.
The fitters we introduce offer a huge array of additional services to help get the perfect fit. From fitting your new carpet or flooring with underlay and accessories, to uplifting and removing your old flooring, Urmston Carpets can offer you a quote and also arrange for the fitters to carry out these works for you.

If we are arranging fitting please read the following information;
On the day of fitting, there are a few things you should consider to ensure everything goes smoothly. Firstly, please make sure that all furniture has been moved away from areas where carpets or flooring will be fitted and any old carpets / flooring have been removed. This will speed up the installation process and ensure the fitters can work efficiently.
If you have opted for the Diamond Service, the fitting team will take care of the furniture removal and uplift of any old carpets. This will be completed before they start any fitting so that they have a clear space to work with.

Fitting Day Responsibilities
What you need to do:
Below is a list of things you MUST please do before the morning of your fitting day.
- Please ensure ALL furniture is removed from the room being fitted
- Please ensure ALL old carpets are ripped up and removed
- If it’s likely that your doors will need planing or removing please have them removed before we arrive
- Please ensure our fitters have safe access to the premises
- Please have your phone close to hand for our fitter to call
- Please ensure pets are safely managed
- Please ensure you have notified us of anything that may affect your fitting before the fitters arrival
- Please ensure we are given a minimum of 72 hours notice to cancel or change your fitting day
What the fitters need to do:
Below is a list of the things you will get from the fitters on the day of fitting, as part of their normal fitting process;
- The fitters will call you on the morning of the fit before 9:30am to confirm your approximate fitting time slot
- The fitters will take their time to survey the job before fitting commences
- The fitters will let you know at the first opportunity of anything that could potentially hinder their work
- They will take their time and be considerate of your property
- The fitters will expertly fit your carpets to the measurements agreed
- The fitters will bag up all rubbish and waste and leave in a safe place
